Laurie D. Marburger, Esq.

While in law school, Laurie received a fellowship to support her family law internship with Southern Arizona Legal Aid. For her supervised independent study, she completed more than 200 hours assisting women and children residing in a domestic violence shelter. She also interned with the Public Fiduciary and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In recognition of her commitment to public service and community impact, she received the University of Arizona College of Law’s inaugural Public Service Award.

Laurie began her career in public interest law across Southern Arizona before taking time away from legal practice to raise three children and help operate her family’s tree and landscaping business—first managing the home office and later working alongside the crew on job sites.

In 2005, her family relocated their home and business to Montana’s Flathead Valley.

Deeply invested in her community, Laurie has volunteered in local schools, organized fundraising events (including an annual race), refereed youth soccer, served on the board of the Abbie Shelter, and supported children and families as a CASA volunteer. She and her family also trained in Shotokan karate and each earned a black belt. Laurie understands first-hand the value of hard labor, volunteer work, and personal development—all while relentlessly pursuing your family’s personal and financial goals.

As her children became young adults, Laurie returned to the practice of law and brought her experience and perspective to client-centered work at Tanko Law Office. Her practice focuses on estate planning—including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney—along with Medicaid planning, guardianships and conservatorships, and probate. Laurie is licensed to practice in Montana and Arizona state courts.

Outside the office, Laurie enjoys travel, photography, hiking, camping, and working out at the gym. She welcomes the opportunity to serve clients at Tanko Law Office in Kalispell.
